FoodWheelPicker is designed with privacy in mind. Our tools work entirely in your browser �?no account, no login, no personal data required. We minimize data collection to keep your experience simple and secure.

We do not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone, address)
• Account credentials (no sign-up required to use any feature)
• Payment information (our service is 100% free, forever)
• Location data (unless you explicitly use the "find nearby" map feature, which uses your device's browser-based geolocation)

We may collect anonymously:

• General usage statistics (pages visited, features used, time spent) via Google Analytics
• Device type, browser, and screen size for optimizing the user experience
• IP address for security, abuse prevention, and analytics. To protect our AI recommendation service from abuse (e.g. automated scraping of our AI quota), we temporarily log IP addresses alongside the request outcome for up to 14 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

All food preferences you enter (custom wheel options, quiz answers) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is automatically cleared if you clear your browser data.

We use minimal cookies to enhance your experience:

• Functional cookies: Remember your wheel preferences during your session
• Analytics cookies: Understand how visitors use our site (Google Analytics)
• Advertising cookies: Set by third-party advertising partners (including Google) to show you relevant ads

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

• Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics for 26 months, then automatically deleted
• IP logs for abuse prevention: Automatically deleted after 14 days
• Feedback submissions: Retained indefinitely to improve our service, but contain no personal identifiers
• Local browser data: Stored in your browser's localStorage until you clear it �?we have no access to it

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access: You can request a copy of any data we hold about you (which will be minimal, as described above)
• Right to erasure: You can request deletion of any data we hold about you

FoodWheelPicker does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our site does not require account creation, and all food preferences are stored locally on the user's device. We do not display targeted ads to children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
